Tommy Vitolo Endorsed by Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund PAC
BOSTON – The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund PAC has endorsed Tommy Vitolo of Brookline in the election for the 15th Norfolk State Representative district, a credit to his commitment to the environment.
“Tommy understands the importance of moving Massachusetts toward a clean energy future,” stated ELM Action Fund Executive Director Joe O’Brien. “He knows that towns like Brookline and across the state will benefit from a clean energy economy that will power us into the future.”

As a Town Meeting Member, Tommy has had 9 warrant articles enacted into law. These include requiring new and renovated roofs to be solar panel ready and doubling the amount of renewable electricity Brookline ratepayers receive from Eversource from 25 to 50 percent. As an environmental professional, Tommy will bring expertise and leadership on environmental issues to the legislature. He understands the urgency of addressing climate change, and will champion clean energy policy and preserving our green spaces.

Tommy attended North Carolina State, where he earned three bachelor’s degrees and met his wife, Jenn. After earning a master’s degree in Ireland as a Mitchell Scholar, Tommy enrolled in a PhD program at Boston University’s College of Engineering in 2002.He has worked at Synapse Energy for the past eight years, providing technical analysis and advice on energy matters to public interest clients such as attorneys general and environmental advocates.
