The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund PAC has endorsed Jean Strauss of Brookfield in the election for the 5th Worcester State Representative district, a credit to her commitment to the environment.
“Jean Strauss values nature and open space,” stated ELM Action Fund Executive Director Joe O’Brien. "But she also knows in districts like the 5th Worcester and across the state we need to build a clean energy economy that will power us into the future."
“Jean's years as a dedicated advocate have given her the experience to make her a passionate and effective representative for the people of the 5th Worcester district," said ELM Action Fund President Elizabeth Henry.
As a State Representative, Jean would ensure the health of forests and advocate for solar farming while still protecting farmlands and green spaces. She will focus on finding ways to protect farms and food supply while continuing to address climate change.
“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of ELM, an organization that does such great work across the Commonwealth. We enjoy a great quality of life in our district because we have clean air, water and outdoor recreation in abundance. But we cannot take those qualities for granted. We are the stewards of this environment and we have to keep that perspective in mind for our grandchildren and their children’s children.”
