The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund has endorsed Tom Merolli of Mendon in the election for the Worcester and Norfolk State Senate district, a credit to his commitment to the environment.
“Tom knows how to create jobs for the 21st century,” stated ELM Action Fund Executive Director Joe O’Brien. "He knows that in towns like Mendon and across the state we need to build a clean energy economy that will power us into the future."
“Tom Merolli understands the value of keeping public space available to families, both in the Worcester and Norfolk district and across the Commonwealth,” said ELM Action Fund President Elizabeth Henry. “We need strong leaders like him in the State House who understand that we can have both a strong economy and a healthy environment.”
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of ELM," said Merolli. "We only have one planet, and it is important that our legislative priorities foster a sense of stewardship for the environment. As a state senator, I will work to ensure environmental regulations are enforced, protection of our water resources and public health becomes a priority, green jobs are created, and our public transit system is expanded. It is time for our Commonwealth to invest in the future."
