The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund PAC has endorsed Representative Stephan Hay of Fitchburg in the election for the 3rd Worcester State Representative district, a credit to her commitment to the environment.
“Representative Hay is a strong ally at the State House,” stated ELM Action Fund Executive Director Joe O’Brien. "He knows that in cities like Fitchburg and across the state we need to build a clean energy economy that will power us into the future."
“Representative Hay understands the fight against climate change cannot wait,” said ELM Action Fund President Elizabeth Henry. “We need strong leaders like him in the State House who understand that we can have both a strong economy and a healthy environment.”
"One of the most important fights we will face in the 21st century is the fight to save our environment," said Representative Hay. "We must remain committed to support legislation that will combat climate change. As State Representative I have always fought for and supported legislation that is aimed at protecting our environment, and if I am fortunate enough to be re-elected I will continue to fight for our environment. The time is now for environmental protection, it is too important to ignore."
Before being elected to the State House, Representative Hay served on the Fitchburg City Council for 18 years, 10 of them as the council's President. He has a career in managing public and senior housing.
