The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund endorsed candidates in targeted legislative races. Races were selected because they were competitive and there was a difference between candidates on key environmental issues. All of the legislative candidates endorsed by the ELM Action Fund won their primaries on September 9.
Winning candidates included the following:
Dan Cullinane (D-Dorchester, 12th Suffolk)
Dan Donahue (D-Worcester, 16th Worcester)
Marjorie Decker (D-Cambridge, 25th Middlesex)
Steven Ultrino (D-Malden, 33rd Middlesex)
Barbara L'Italien (D-Andover, 2nd Essex & Middlesex)
Eric Lesser (D-Longmeadow, First Hampden & Hampshire)
ELM ACTION FUND CAMPAIGN FELLOWS
For two of the Primary election races, Rep. Dan Cullinane and Rep. Marjorie Decker, the ELM Action Fund deployed Campaign Fellows for several weeks, to assist with outreach to voters. We also deployed Campaign Fellows to two General Election races: Senators Dan Wolf (D-Harwich, Cape and Islands) and Jason Lewis (D-Winchester, 5th Middlesex). These young people, who worked as the first class of ELM Action Fund Campaign Fellows, collectively contributed over 250 hours.
