October 2, 24014 - Environmental advocates, labor leaders and electrical workers today rallied with Democratic candidate for Attorney General Maura Healey, saying voters have a clear choice on these important issues and naming Healey as the candidate who will side with the people as a 21st Century ratepayer advocate.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103, the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund (ELM), and Clean Water Action endorsed Maura Healey for Attorney General at a joint event at IBEW’s wind turbine and training center in Dorchester. IBEW Local 103 represents thousands of electrical and other workers in the Commonwealth, and ELM and Clean Water are at the forefront of environmental and climate advocacy in Massachusetts.
George Bachrach, President of the ELM Action Fund noted: “Clean energy and clean technology are the fastest growing segment of our economy and will soon have created over 100,000 new jobs in the Commonwealth. Maura Healey will help grow this sector. She understands that energy policy must include job creation and public health.”
